Facilities

The central campus and hub of WAAST is located in Lomé, the capital city of Togo, West Africa. The 15-acre campus includes an administration complex, a large chapel, dormitories, two classroom buildings, a library, dining hall, faculty housing, and housing for visiting professors.

The library offers about 20,000 media, including books and periodicals in English and French. A computer lab serves the students.

Dormitories are outfitted with wardrobe closets, study tables, running water, flush toilets, and screened verandas. African cuisine is prepared and served in the dining hall.

Students who attend classes at the central campus attend chapel services twice a week and enjoy organized sports on the volleyball court and soccer field.

Structure of the Program

Both African and American professors teach at the B.Th. level. Classes are given in block sessions of three weeks, with two courses offered per session. Block sessions begin each March and August.

The B.Th. program takes three years to complete. After two and a half years, students are required to spend 15 weeks on campus, beginning in August, to finish their courses and to complete a thesis project. Graduation ceremonies are held at the end of this semester.

Admissions Information

Potential students must complete all application forms and provide a written testimony of their life and ministry. Applicants must also pass an English proficiency exam, given on the Lomé campus several times a year, and a Bible exam to enter the program. New students are received in March.
